    I was going to suggest Febreeze, but apparently i am late on that.
    Have you thought about steam cleaning it?
    Sometimes you can rent steam cleaners at Meijers or other grocery stores.

    I’m not sure about getting rid of stains - although carpet shampoo is quite good. Fabreeze I thought was a good way to get rid of odours……works for me anyway!

    Most commercial carpet cleaners have an attachment for furniture.Try Lowe’s or the grocery stores.

    Want me to come clean it?(-;

    Yes… try steam cleaning it… that should work on both the odor and the stain. Try any major hardware store (Home Depot, Lowes…) they should have machines for rental. If it’s a heavy stain, you will have no use but to use some heavy artillery (carpet cleaner). Make sure you do not spray too much on the stain, because all carpet cleaners are forms of bleach. One or two blasts of Resolve and wipe. Repeat if necessary.

    Take the pillows and let them bake in the sun for a day.

    For the odor, try baking soda. Sprinkle baking soda all over the couch. Leave it for about 15 minutes then vacuume it off.

    For the stains, test a hidden area for color-fastness. Mix 1/2 tablespoon of ARM & HAMMER® Baking Soda in 1/2 cup of water and apply a small amount to the carpet or upholstery. Let dry, then vacuum and check area.

    Mix into hot water mild kitchen soap and some baking soda. Scrub the stains with a brush. The stains should easily come out.The baking soda is good at eliminating odors. Their are machines like you suggest but are expensive.

    Sprinkle it thoroughly with baking soda. If you have someone to help you, set it outside on a sunny day. Then vacuum off soda.

    I have a carpet shampooer and it comes with a little tool that cleans upholstery and you can use just regular carpet shampoo to calean it and as far as the stains I use Shout for clothes it’s $2 at Wal-Mart and works better than carpet/upholstery stain remover and is alot cheaper.

    I just had the same problem not to long ago! I rented a Rug Doctor steam cleaner w/ the attatchments and cleaned it w/ a pet odor cleaner. Then I Fabreezed every day for 3 or 4 days. Now it smells fresh and clean!!

    To get rid of the musty smell you may want to consider renting a steamer and steam the sofa. I would hang the lining of the cushions outside to dry and leave the sofa in a room with the windows up to help dry it out. Steaming works great at removing odors and it really helps freshen fabrics. After its dry, I would spray ScotchGaurd on it to help prevent stains and if you do get stains try some Resolve.

    You know, that Oxy Clean really works miracles. Do a test spot in an un-noticable spot on underside or back first to be safe.
    Take pillows to dry cleaners or laundry mat, they have HUGE washers at laundry mat for big jobs.
    A mixture of half vinegar half water in a mister is cheaper and works just as well.
    You can go to Wally World and rent a machine OR you can buy furniture shampoo in a can too.
