2008 PIAGGIO MP3 500 SCOOTER REVIEW

2008 Piaggio MP3 500 Scooter Review Read the full scooter examination during Motorcycle.com. www.motorcycle.com This is not your grandma’s scooter, to contend the least. The three-wheeled MP3 goes around corners similar to the motorcycle interjection to the little innovative engineering as well as looks similar to the cranky in between the grasshopper as well as the transformer. If Darth Vader had the scooter, this would be it.

  9. akjjb on March 11th, 2010 at 10:43 pm

@ThePalehorseman5 Ok I didn’t noticed that! Not very attractive name in english indeed… Thx for the precisions

  10. ThePaleHorseman5 on March 11th, 2010 at 11:02 pm

@akjjb Here in the states they had to change the name from the Gilara Fuoco to the mp3 500 for marketing reasons….Fuoco sounds too much like an obscene curse word in English. :)

@akjjb You can indeed fall off….it’ll tip over just like any other bike…the main safety feature is 50% more rubber up front, along with the extra disc braking power…..that extra stopping power saved my butt this summer. I would have been toast on my iron 883. …a car pulled out in front of me, i went from 40mph to stop in about 35ft…had to brake so hard I actually lifted the rear wheel off the ground, but landed soft and steady.

@throttlelever Here also, because the front thread (between the two frontwheels) is to short on the 500 (so it is not considered as a three wheeler but a two wheeler)

  13. akjjb on March 12th, 2010 at 12:47 am

Ok, interesting, my bad, mp3 500 doesn’t exists overhere, we only have mp3 400. The bike shown on the video is called “Fuoco 500″ in France…

  14. throttlelever on March 12th, 2010 at 1:19 am

@akjjb Hmm actually, in Holland you need a car drivers license to ride mp3 400 lt, but a motor license to ride mp3 500. I’d love to have an mp3 400 lt with a 500 engine, though

  15. devis0975 on March 12th, 2010 at 1:20 am

sarà innovativo ma non si può guardare

  16. akjjb on March 12th, 2010 at 2:13 am

The point is safety because you can’t fall off that thing. If it’s rainy or slippery you just slip like in a car. If you’ve ever ridden a motorcycle you know the difference…

  17. akjjb on March 12th, 2010 at 2:54 am

This is not Piaggio MP3 but Gilera Fuoco 500

  18. akjjb on March 12th, 2010 at 3:46 am

Hi, I’m living in Paris, MP3s are popular here for one reason : You don’t need a motorcycle driver license to ride them (3 wheelers are like 4 wheelers overhere). If you want to ride a 2 wheeler 400cc you need a motorcycle licence (everything upper than 125cc actually).

No they don’t, not true at all.

    loud pipes save lifes :)

  23. bombaaaah on March 12th, 2010 at 7:00 am

Listen closer mabye. He went on to elaborate and said he felt more secure with the other wheel on the road etc . Then again there is more stopping power with additional brake/tire . The thing that concerns me is the noise . It does sound pretty noisy which i wouldn’t appreciate coming from BMW?

  24. u2star on March 12th, 2010 at 7:04 am

    Sounds terrible for a 500cc
